Kim Stolis, Executive Director of the Art Colony Association / Bayou City Art Festival, will also share her experience on how to maintain healthy and thriving relationships with your corporate sponsors!

About the Presenter:

Robin CavanaughRobin Cavanaugh  |  President |  Cavanaugh & Company

Robin Cavanaugh is a marketing and special events veteran with more than 25 years of experience.  A graduate of University of Houston, Cavanaugh spent 10 years in advertising and public relations in the beer and soft drink industry prior to striking out on her own in 1990.  She developed, produced and/or sold sponsorships to some of Houston’s largest special events such as the Wings Over Houston Air Show, Uptown Houston Lighting Ceremony and the July 4th Freedom Festival, and managed regional public relations for Toyota and Lexus U.S.A. and Academy Sports & Outdoors. Cavanaugh later joined Academy Sports & Outdoors as marketing director where sales grew from $380 million to $500 million during her tenure with the sporting goods giant.

Cavanaugh spent nearly four years as Houston Zoo director of marketing where she launched the then newly privatized non-profit’s branding campaign in 2003 and worked on the strategy and production of the current award-winning branding effort that debuted just after her departure in 2006.  Cavanaugh was responsible for the development and launch of the Houston Public Library’s new branding and award-winning communications campaign, and produced a successful grand reopening of the Central Library that garnered 20,000 visitors opening weekend.

Cavanaugh has successfully produced corporate breakfast events, civic and charitable dinners, seminars, major festivals, ground breakings, press events, grand openings, trade show booths,  ride-and-drives, and various client hospitality events, and sales meetings.

Cavanaugh & Company has an expertise in full-service special event production and sponsorship sales and marketing; strategic collaborations; and non-profit media relations.
